University Blacks, the most famous name in Amateur football, has momentum.

The Club enters the 2023 with a genuine sense of excitement and anticipation for what is to come this season. After achieving promotion back to William Buck Premier at the end of the 2022 season, the Blacks boast a remarkable record of consistency across a turbulent time in our world, not letting two Covid impacted seasons deter our players commitment or drive for success along the way. Our Seniors have won 26 out of their past 29 games, the Reserves have appeared in 3 consecutive Premier B Reserve Grand Final's, our Phoenix team has remained on the park whilst many other Thirds squads have folded, and our Under 19s continue to be a breeding ground for the next generation of Blacksm'n.
